2 kids dressed up in black and red halloween costumes carrying jack o lantern trick-or-treating buckets

It’s Halloween season! And experienced trick-or-treaters know that the holiday can’t be all full-size Snickers bars.

We sent an intrepid reporter around to the office of each BDBF attorney to ask them the rapid-fire question:

Your trick-or-treat haul has been fully devoured except for one last piece of candy—the candy you like the very least. What would be the very last piece left?

Tim Canney

Necco wafers. It may be a New England pull, but it tastes like chalk brined in the tears of all that is joyful in this world.

Liz Farley

Anything licorice. It tastes like burnt coffee.

Phil Kuljurgis

Those gross candies that come in the orange and black wax paper (ed. – they are called “peanut butter kisses”). The consistency is unappealing, and they taste bad.

Jeremy Rachlin

Smarties. It’s like chewable medicine that leaves you with a bad aftertaste and regret.

Meg Rosan

I don’t know how to describe them, but those circular burnt orange hard candies that are wrapped in burnt orange-yellowish plastic that taste like a combination of orange and butterscotch. They’re just gross.

Dan Shaivitz

Bottle Caps. It is disgusting, chalky crap.

There you have it, readers! What Halloween candy is at the top of your “trade pile” or the bottom of your candy bowl? Let us know in the comments!
