Liz Farley with Jeremy Rachlin and Dan Shaivitz

On May 28, 2025, BDBF attorney Liz Farley was inducted as a “Bar Leader” by the Montgomery County Bar Foundation.

Liz joins BDBF partners Jeremy Rachlin, Meg Rosan, and Dan Shaivitz as Bar Leaders.

Bar Leaders are selected by the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation in recognition of significant cumulative contributions to the Montgomery County legal community during their time in practice.

Amongst Liz’s accomplishments in the brief five years since she graduated from the American University Washington College of Law in 2020, she:

  • Served a two-year term as the Co-Chair of the New Practitioners’ Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association from 2023-2025. As Co-Chair, Liz sat on the Executive Committee of the County Bar Association. She was charged with furthering the outreach of the Bar to newly minted attorneys in furtherance of the strategic planning objectives of the Bar. Liz organized social events, happy hours, and continuing legal education seminars.
  • Served on the planning committee of the 2025 “Barrister’s Bash”. The Barrister’s Bash was a dinner and dance for Montgomery County attorneys. In 2025, Bar leadership resurrected the Barrister’s Bash after several years of dormancy.
  • Served on the planning committee of the 2023 Montgomery County Bar Foundation Fall Outing. The Fall Outing is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event, featuring a golf tournament, a pickleball tournament, and a silent auction. Monies raised by the Foundation directly and exclusively support pro bono and community outreach efforts by Montgomery County attorneys.
  • Graduated as a fellow from the Montgomery County Bar Association Leadership Development Academy during the 2022-2023 term. During this term, Liz was one of the fellows who spearheaded the Academy’s capstone project, “Ask a Lawyer Day”, a one-day legal clinic for Montgomery County residents, offering pro bono assistance from Montgomery County attorneys with powers of attorney, landlord-tenant, and expungement matters.

On behalf of all of the attorneys and staff at Bulman Dunie, shareholders Jeremy Rachlin, Meg Rosan, and Dan Shaivitz are so very proud of Liz and grateful to her for continuing the firm’s decades-long commitment to excellence in the practice of law and tradition of Bar leadership. CONGRATS, LIZ!
